In order to prevent car cloning, we ask for proper ID and valid DVLA paperwork when buying legal number plates for road use. Providing the necessary documents is straightforward. 
For compliance with UK laws, kindly send us clear images of your ID and DVLA-accepted documents to documents@platedevils.co.uk.

Accepted Documents to purchase number plates in the uk include:
- Photo ID (Drivers Licence or Passport) or Utility bill under the name of the person who places the order with us

- A DVLA 'V' document (V5 log book, V7 or eV9) stating the registration you have ordered with us.

While we do make number plates as soon as payment is processed, we will only send out legal plates when we receive the required paperwork and proof of ID.

We are DVLA registered to produce Legal Plates since June 2024. Our registration number is: 71541.

Our legal plates will display these markings because it is required by UK law for plates used in the UK. Contrary to popular belief, the markings are not for free advertising. They are a legal requirement to ensure your car passes its MOT.

The markings are about 2.5mm tall, small but visible without affecting the design. They must be on UK-made legal plates to help police combat car cloning. If our plates are misused, police can trace them back to us for information on their sale.

Upon receiving your order, we will promptly prepare it for you. If the order is placed before our dispatch time (as shown on the plate creator), we will ship it out the same day. Otherwise, it will be dispatched the next working day under normal circumstances. This will be slightly extended for multiple plates in one order however.

Each number plate is made just for you, ensuring your satisfaction with quick delivery. Once your order is placed, we cannot cancel or amend it, so please be certain of your choices before purchasing.

Unfortunately No. We take this very seriously for two key reasons. Firstly, we understand the issue of car cloning and by sending number plates only to the cardholder address, we are actively working to combat it. Your number plate belongs to you, so we wouldn't want to sell plates displaying your number to anyone else. Secondly, we do not want to suffer from credit card fraud. We're taking steps to prevent it. Apologies, but we only ship plates to the credit cardholder's address after thorough verification.

While we do not offer this option currently on our builder, Badges of Flags with the text of "UK","ENG" are legal on plates with a blue or green backdrop. Please reach out to us for assistance regarding these.

Our Plates are not pre-drilled because every vehicle has unique fitting hole positions. We recommend using the sticky pads in our fitting kits.

With Our Iconic Plate Range this can be arranged however there are specific requirements, we would require more information. Please reach out to us for assistance.

Our Iconic Plate Range have signature icons to them, these are not classed as badges and are legal.
When designing the Plate Range the DVLA and Local Police were consulted throughout for legality.
We are able to design unique icons upon enquiry so we can design and vet your design.

We are happy to do this. However we do require an order to be in place and payment details taken before doing any design work. You are free to call us on 01908 270771 or email us on sales@platedevils.co.uk (Office Hours) and we can take the order from you and send over the design as many times until you approve it. We offer a bespoke experience for plate creation and this should show our service being this also.

Unfortunately not. It's crucial to note that you can't just create a registration number for the UK highway. The registration number used must be owned by either you or the recipient. We focus on making plates and do require information for legal plate design to ensure this doesn't happen.
